Memorial Medical Center is a 500-bed, acute care hospital campus in Springfield, Illinois, that offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. Due to the size of this facility, the retrocommissioning effort was divided into two phases. Since the utility incentives were focused on the natural gas usage, the savings were somewhat restrained but still very effective. The challenge with this facility, as is true for most older hospitals, is the many different additions and renovation projects.
