The Illinois School for the Deaf in Jacksonville, Illinois campus retrocommissioning program was divided into two phases for ease of investigation and implementation. Seven buildings totaling 223,414 sq. ft. were evaluated during Phase One; the remaining eight buildings totaling 263,546 sq. ft. were assessed in Phase Two. Retrocommissioning services included an in-depth review of energy usage and issues related to building envelope, mechanical and control systems, and lighting, with the intent to identify improvement measures with simple payback of less than 1.5 years.
