The expansion to Clayton High School in Clayton, Missouri consists of the addition of a high performance science laboratory and classroom wing, which was completed during renovations to the existing building. The energy using systems were commissioned in the addition and in the school’s existing power plant to improve functionality and efficiency of systems throughout the entire building. This project features additional water chiller to supplement the two existing water units. Boiler system testing for this project identified a basic flaw in the “black box” boiler controller programming that kept causing the boilers to go offline and eventually lead to software and installation revisions to correct the problem.
