Ben-Gil Elementary School in Gillespie, Illinois consists of a one-story facility with 33 grade level classrooms, a gymnasium, food service areas and cafeteria, administration offices, and various school support spaces. This project includes extensive daylighting controls of all LED lighting, a complete ground source heat pump system for all building heating and cooling and domestic water heating and a solar photovoltaic renewable energy system. Dedicated outside air systems with energy recovery provide ventilation of all areas.
